How to extend the height of outdoor lights

My fence is only about 8 feet tall so the hanging lights I strung up always seem to hit people in the head. I'm 5'4" so it has never been a problem for me BUT gotta make sure everyone enjoys the yard!

Step 1 - Find some scrap wood you may have lying around! If you don't have any scrap wood, then you can easily find an extender on amazon: https://amzn.to/3D22OWr

Step 2 - Paint the backside of the wood to match your neighbors fence so it would look out of place from their view. You can also paint the front/sides now or later - up to you!!

Step 3 - Drill starter holes into the wood to make it easier to drill in the screws using a power drill.

Step 4 - Drill the wood to the fence using a power drill.

Step 5 - Paint the front and sides if you haven't already.

Step 6 - Drill a starter hole then a crew in a hook strong enough to hold lights. Hook example: https://amzn.to/3XKrzA4

Step 7 - Enjoy!!
